What happens During A session?

Greeting &
Setup

We begin by easing into the space together. Shoes come off, we choose a comfortable area in your home, and set up simple props like rugs or mats. This time is unhurried and grounding—an opportunity for everyone to arrive, get comfortable, and transition out of the busyness of the day. It helps create a calm, welcoming environment where your family can feel at ease and ready to connect.

Connection &
Yoga

We begin with a short, playful activity such as a simple craft or interactive exercise to gently connect with your child and set a relaxed, welcoming tone. From there, we move into a guided family yoga practice, lasting 15–45 minutes, tailored to your family’s energy and needs. The session blends mindfulness, breath, and movement creating space for both regulation and joy as you practice together.

Parent Coaching

After the movement portion, we take time to reflect on what was observed during the session—your child’s responses, moments of connection, and any challenges that arose. Together, we explore the strategies we used, why they were chosen, and how they support regulation and connection.

Family Integration

We’ll then walk through your home and daily rhythms, identifying natural opportunities to incorporate these practices into your routines. You’ll receive simple, realistic suggestions tailored to your family’s lifestyle.

You’ll be left with 1–2 clear, actionable steps to begin implementing right away so the experience continues well beyond our time together.

Single in-home Session

A one-time in-home experience designed to help your family slow down, connect, and walk away with practical tools you can start using right away.

Includes:

Build the
Foundation

3 in-home sessions

A short series designed to help your family begin building consistent regulation and connection practices.

Each session builds on the last, allowing you to practice, reflect, and adjust in real time.

Includes:

  • 3 in-home sessions

  • Ongoing refinement of tools and strategies

  • Support creating simple, repeatable routines

  • Personalized guidance based on your family’s progress

Best for: Families ready to move beyond a one-time session and start creating lasting change

Lasting Change

6 in-home sessions

A deeper, more supportive experience for families who want to fully integrate these practices into daily life.

We work together over time to strengthen emotional regulation, improve family dynamics, and build sustainable habits.

Includes:

  • 6 in-home sessions

  • Customized tools tailored to your family’s evolving needs

  • Continued parent coaching and support

  • Integration into real-life routines (morning, after school, bedtime)

Best for: Families navigating ongoing challenges or wanting long-term support and transformation

How to Prepare

In order to be set up for success, there is some preparation to be managed ahead of time for all parties.

  • When you sign up for a Family Flow service, you will be sent an intake form to be completed at least 1 week prior to our time together.

    Here you will tell us more about your child, your family, your goals, and your home life.

  • It will be your job to ensure your family is set up for success. Prior to our arrival we suggest:

    1. Choose/prepare a space. Choose a space in your home that’s large enough for us to work on our yoga mats (1 mat for each adult and child over age 6). While you certainly do not need to clean as if you were formally hosting guests, please do ensure the space is free of major distractions for your child.

    2. Clothing: Ensure everyone is in clothing that facilitates movement.

    3. Physical Needs: Use the bathroom, drink some water, and have a light snack about 30 minute prior to the session so your child is prepared to participate fully.

    4. Pets: Please have pets contained out of the yoga space. We love animals, but find they can be difficult to include in the sessions if they aren’t used to the activity or set up.

    5. Phones/Tech: This session is intended to serve as a point of connection for your family. Please silence your devices and put them away during our time together.

  • Children love to know what’s going on! Please let them know that we are coming to play and have fun together. We will likely ask them about their favorite colors, animals, activities, etc.
